Glossary
of terms Hydrogeology:
The
science that deals with subsurface waters and with related
geologic aspects of surface waters. More recently it has been
used interchangeably with geohydrology.
Topographical:
Synonymous with the term ‘topographic’. Topographic:
Pertaining to topography. Topography: The general configuration
of a land surface or any part of the Earth’s surface,
including its relief and the position of its natural and
man–made features. Karstic: is the adjective of Karst. Karst is a type of topography that is formed on limestone, gypsum, and other rocks by dissolution, and is characterised by sinkholes, caves and underground drainage.
